Hello, I’m Nicole

An independent writer and editor, currently based in Singapore.

As a journalist, I’m interested in the macro of the micro — covering how global business and politics shapes everyday culture and individual lives, especially relating to Asia’s soft power abroad. My writing has appeared in The Economist, The Diplomat, Rest of World and other international outlets.

I’m also working on uplifting voices beyond the mainstream — serving as the digital editor of NuVoices, an editorial collective of women and minority experts on China, as well as the founding editor of The Primer, a multimedia magazine I started during my studies at Oxford University and University College London.
